Annual Fire Alarm Inspections are required by LAW! Per NFPA 72
As a business/building owner, it is important to have a designated person with some knowledge of the building fire alarm system. At the very least these people should be able to recognize when the system is impaired,understand how to reset the system, and know when an who to call for service. Annual testing must be done by a licensed state inspector. Copies of a standard inspection an testing form may be obtained at www.NFPA.org or from our office.
Not only is testing required by law but your inspection may limit your liability for injuries suffered by tenants,employees or guest. Often the first thing requested by your insurance carrier will be a copy of your last up to date annual fire inspection. Without proof of an complete annual inspection your insurance carrier may REJECT your claim.
